- Sealed-only original release — Southern Islands was sold exclusively as the Tropical Islands or Southern Islands collector set in North America (2001) and the South Pacific tourist promo before that, so loose singles in clean shape never flooded the market.
- Verified ~$44 raw / PSA 10 ~$323 (PriceCharting May 2026) — a ~7× graded lift driven entirely by condition rarity, because Southern Islands cards were notoriously prone to factory-fresh edge nicks and chipping.
- Watercolor art rarity — Kazama's pastel landscape style appeared on only a handful of Pokemon cards ever; the Southern Islands subset is the single largest concentration of his work and Jigglypuff is one of the most recognizable pieces.
