08Competitive Playability

Tier: None

Stage 2 Alakazam with 80 HP; top attack around 30 damage. Functions as an evolution-chain piece rather than a tournament attacker.

09Card Moves and Abilities

Ability: Damage Swap

As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move 1 damage counter from 1 of your Pokémon to another as long as you don't Knock Out that Pokémon. This power can't be used if Alakazam is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.

Confuse Ray Cost: Psychic + Psychic + Psychic · 30 damage

10Grading and Population

PSA 10 estimate: 1st Edition PSA 10 ~$10,443 (PriceCharting realized, May 2026).

Base Set holos are notorious for print lines, holo scratching, and centering problems, so 1st-Edition PSA 10s are genuinely scarce and trade at a steep premium over raw.

Other graders: BGS and CGC grade vintage Base Set; PSA remains the resale standard.
