Watchog #505

Watchog — the Lookout Pokémon, evolved Patrat, and one of Unova's more memorable bug-eyed mascots. A yellow-and-black-striped Normal-type sentinel that became an internet running joke for its perpetually wide-eyed expression ('Watchog is watching you'). The Illuminate/Analytic ability gave it brief competitive flickers in BW-era decks; today it's quiet bulk with one shiny throwback chase on top.

01Top 10 Notable Watchog Cards

Watchog's market is a small list — the catalog only goes nine deep — but the structure mirrors the rest of the early-Unova route lines. The 2025 White Flare Illustration Rare leads, the 2013 Plasma Storm Rare Holo holds the only meaningful 'original' chase tier, and a half-dozen Uncommons fill out the bulk-bin floor.

The original 2011 Black & White Uncommon — the very first English Watchog, set-mate of the launch-day Patrat. Bulk-tier for over a decade, slowly creeping up as the Unova nostalgia wave keeps lifting the early route lines along with the starters.

The only Rare-rarity Watchog in the catalog — the 2013 Plasma Storm Holo, where the Team Plasma storyline took center stage. A clean Holo-foil Watchog with a slightly competitive ability print; the closest thing to a 'vintage' chase the line has.

The Uncommon companion to #113 in the same Plasma Storm set — same era, plain non-holo treatment, identical art tier to the launch print. Bulk that sits one notch under the Holo for set-completionists.

Boundaries Crossed was the late-2012 Plasma-themed set, and Watchog earned an Uncommon slot for completeness. No in-game pedigree, but a tidy reprint with the kind of Plasma-era artwork that has aged nicely.

Emerging Powers was the late-2011 first-proper-expansion follow-up to Black & White. Watchog's reprint here is functional pack bulk — the kind of early-era Uncommon that filled binders without ever filling tournament decks.

Furious Fists was the 2014 XY-era Fighting-focused set, and Watchog appeared as a Colorless reprint Uncommon. Off-theme bulk filler — the kind of cross-era reprint that turns up in sets unrelated to its home generation.

Guardians Rising was the 2017 Sun & Moon set built around the Tapu legendaries — Watchog rode along as a reprint Uncommon. The most modern bulk-era Watchog before the 2025 White Flare revival hit reset on the entire line.

The Uncommon-rarity Watchog from the same 2025 White Flare throwback set that produced the IR chase. Pack bulk paired with the chase pull — and the cheapest verified Watchog in the catalog.
