Blitzle #522

Blitzle — the Electrified Pokémon, a small black-and-white Electric-type zebra foal whose mane lights up like neon during thunderstorms. The first-stage of the Blitzle → Zebstrika line, Unova's regional take on the route-bound Electric mammal (the slot Pikachu/Mareep/Electrike held in earlier gens). Cute, kinetic, and one of those line designs that aged better than its pull-rates would suggest.

01Top 10 Notable Blitzle Cards

Blitzle's Top 10 has unusual depth — a 2023 Paradox Rift secret-numbered chase leads at the top, the 2025 White Flare Illustration Rare is right behind it, and a 2011 McDonald's Happy Meal promo plus a Noble Victories Rare give the line a real four-card upper tier. Behind those, the usual BW-era and SM/SWSH-era Commons settle into the bulk floor.

The 2025 throwback chase. White Flare's Illustration Rare gives Blitzle a painterly modern showcase — full-art portrait of the neon-maned foal, half a step behind the Paradox Rift chase in price but the more obvious 'this is the modern Blitzle to own' pickup for set collectors.

A 2011 McDonald's Happy Meal promo handed out the year Blitzle debuted in English. Holo-foil, often creased from kid-handling, but clean centered copies trade well above the asking price — Blitzle's distinctive black-and-white-with-yellow design photographs especially well.

Noble Victories was the November-2011 third Black & White-era expansion. Blitzle got a clean Common slot here — one of the more sought BW-era Blitzle prints behind the McDonald's promo, with steady mid-tier demand.

A Sword & Shield-era black-star promo Blitzle — channel print from the SWSH era's prerelease/blister/tin distribution. A defensible promo-line completionist pickup; rarely seen at shows.
