07Why Collectors Want It

  • Skyridge crosshatch holos are e-Card-era scarcities — this Golem's reverse-holo verified ~$356 raw, the line's top card.
  • Graded, the base holo is the real prize: PSA 10 copies realize ~$7,600, versus ~$1,600 for the reverse-holo PSA 10.
  • Skyridge is the scarcest WotC set, so any #148 Golem is a genuine chase.
  • Required for a Skyridge or Geodude-line master set.

08Competitive Playability

Tier: None

Stage 2 Golem with 100 HP; top attack around 50 damage. Functions as an evolution-chain piece rather than a tournament attacker.

09Card Moves and Abilities

Ability: Crystal Type

Whenever you attach a Grass, Fire, or Fighting basic Energy card from your hand to Golem, Golem's type (color) becomes the same as that type of Energy until the end of the turn.

Rock Throw Cost: Fighting + Fighting + Colorless · 30 damage

Earth Bomb Cost: Grass + Fire + Fighting + Colorless · 50 damage

Golem does 20 damage to itself. This attack also does 10 damage to each Benched Pokémon (yours and your opponent's). (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)

10Grading and Population

PSA 10 estimate: Base holo PSA 10 ~$7,605 · reverse-holo PSA 10 ~$1,619 (PriceCharting realized, May 2026).

Skyridge crosshatch holos chip and scratch easily; gem-mint PSA 10 population is low, especially for the base holo.

Other graders: CGC and BGS also grade Skyridge; PSA leads on resale liquidity.
